Invitation Design
For their annual sales conference, Hyundai Capital America identified themselves as the proverbial “800 pound gorilla in the room.” Building off that theme, they wanted a clever way to invite (and excite!) their sales staff into coming to the meeting. This invitation set utilizes custom gorilla illustrations and type treatments to convey the rustic, African gorilla theme.
The invitation kit was all housed in a custom-stamped burlap, draw-string sack and contained the agenda of the meeting, an evolution chart noting Hyundai Capital America’s success and growth over the years, a banana with gorilla sticker, luggage tag and and refrigerator magnet. The invitation was sent via FedEx overnight to ensure the bananas were received in their freshest state. The FedEx boxes themselves were stuffed with straw for padding the invitation.
This custom stamp was made to be dipped in blue paint and stamped on each burlap sack individually.
Luggage tags were printed using variable data for each invitation recipient.
Yep, that’s me, happily applying gorilla stickers to over 100 bananas. It’s pretty much the pinnacle of my career…
